The L.M. Montgomery Heritage Society
The L.M. Montgomery Heritage Society, created in June 1994, is dedicated to protecting L.M. Montgomery's Prince Edward Island literary and historic legacy for the benefit, education and enjoyment of the public. The Society is a non-profit organization made up of representatives from Island heritage sites and groups with a mutual interest in preserving and promoting Montgomery's Island home. As part of its mandate, the Society holds events honouring the life and times of Montgomery, including an annual birthday celebration held each November and the L.M.
